Project Team

Tim Gill is a principal manager of Forster-Gill, Inc., a timber and property management company based in San Luis Obispo. Forster-Gill is managing the Ridgewood Village project and is active in Humboldt County, practicing small-scale forestry management. Forster-Gill is a leader in environmental protections in sustainable forestry practices, having achieved the first Safe Harbor Agreement in the State of California for the northern spotted owl.

Mike Atkins, project manager, is a registered professional forester who has worked in Eureka as a consulting forester specializing in land use for the last 14 years.

Winzler and Kelly Consulting Engineers is providing engineering and environmental services from its Eureka office.

Rea, Richmond and Luker, Architects, LLP, also known as R2L Architects, is providing project layout and architectural designs. The firm has extensive experience with community development projects in the western United States ranging from urban to rural settings. R2L is based in San Luis Obispo.

Family Ownership

The Ridgewood Village project is co-owned by three families: Scott Dunn, operator of Scott Dunn Logging, Inc. of Fortuna who has had his family-owned parcel since 1910; the Robinson family who have similar ties to the community; and the Forster-Gill family who have owned property in this county since the 1880s. Tim and Lisa Gill own a home in Blue Lake.
